Hi,
I've just been reading that low testosterone can thin the (facial!) lips dramatically and cause real sagging of the lower face. I've been noticing lately that these are both very evident on my face and am curious about the generalisation of "ageing" as opposed to the specifics of testosterone depletion!
🤔

It is usually oestrogen that allows the body to sag. As we age we lose elasticity all over. My apron dropped several years ago ::). Muscles may become lax = aches and pains.
-
I still don't know what an apron is! ;D

You are not alone - the only time I ever heard it mentioned was by CLKD!
However a quick google this morning found this link

Oh right. Thanks Strongkat. That sounds horrible CLKD. Sorry you have that. Are you monitored for possible complications? I'm glad I didn't get that despite having three babies. :-\

I didn't have babies so that description doesn't apply ::). Oestrogen dropped off so the belly muscles became loose = drop of apron. When laying down I look slim, standing up ;D unless I pull the muscles in tightly. It's about the only exercise that I do ;-).
MayB it's a family term.

I just thought it was an interesting take on testosterone, specifically in relation to the face.

Did your mother never put her pinny on before cooking? It should go in the washing machine after dropping it though ;D
Difficult one PM3, you often can't separate the two. Did eunochs have thin lips and sagging faces?
-
;D
Interesting sheila - I had a book about eunuchs but it was hard work so I passed it on ::).

That is interesting Postmeno3. Could you either post a link or tell us where you read it please?

I will try to send it to you, W, but am not sure if it will make it onto the forum or how "creditable" it may be. Am just interested in these potential outcomes of depletion. 😊
