Title: Oestrogen Gel & Utrogestan Tablets
Post by: Meno44 on November 18, 2021, 11:18:41 AM
I’ve just had a GP consultation and we’ve agreed that I should try the gel and tablets.
He said I should take the gel every day but the tablets only for 12 days.
I’ve just had a thought, as I’m post menopausal (was previously taking Femseven Conti and Evorel Conti patches) will I now get a period?……shouldn’t I be taking the progesterone every day?

As you're meno you would normally be prescribed 100mg every day and not have a bleed. Is there a reason he prescribed it this way? You're right that with a sequi regime like this you would usually get a bleed.

Thanks for your reply.
I managed to speak to my GP again and he’s prescribed the progesterone to be taken every day.
Fingers crossed I get on with this combination better than the others I’ve tried
