Just over a month ago, I went on Evorel and am now experiencing some bleeding and stomach cramps and anxiety like you wouldn't believe! I don't think I've ever felt this anxious and, of course, sleep is very intermittent. Has anybody else suffered this too? And if so, roughly how long did it last? Thank you, ladies x

Hi mancum. Are you on Evorel Conti or Sequi? If Conti then bleeding for the first six months is common. If Sequi then a withdrawal bleed once a month is the norm. It takes three months before side effects settle and you can tell if that particular HRT suits you. Evorel does contain Norethisterone which can give some women PMT type symptoms including anxiety. This may settle over the first three months.
Hope this helps.

Hi Taz2
Thanks so much for your reply - it does help :)
I'm on Everol conti, but the bleeding is a surprise - I'm quite far down the menopause route - haven't had a period for about 3 years. Thanks for the advice re the PMT type symptoms. I would say I was experiencing those for about a week prior to the bleeding starting not knowing what it was. But, honestly, this bloody anxiety - worst I've ever known! And, from reading all the posts on here I know this is so, so common.
I've only just found this forum, but I will keep popping in. There's nothing more comforting that knowing you aren't alone, eh?
Thank you x

I was on Evorel Conti but had constant bleeding for six months so went back on to sequi which gave me a predictable bleed each month. Hopefully yours will settle soon. It's not a natural period so it doesn't mean you're starting again :D
Let us know how you get on.

Thank you Taz, I will.
Does the Sequi suit you - does it help with the symptoms okay? x

Sequi suited me apart from some PMT symptoms but then I swapped to FemSeven and things were even better. I had a hysterectomy in 2014 due to prolapse so I now just use Evorel 50 as I no Ionger need the protection of progesterone. :)
