Has anyone else been prescribed Vagifem without a loading dose? I was using Premarin cream (I’m in Canada), and right now it’s back ordered until approximately February. Just as well because I was ready to try a higher dosage/something else because my bladder symptoms are bothersome. My practitioner prescribed me 2 months worth of Vagifem, but didn’t prescribe a loading dose. She mentioned that she wasn’t doing the initial start up, but I didn’t think to ask why. I had been using Premarin cream, so similar but different, and it wasn’t working for my needs anyway. So just wanted to check if any others have been prescribed like this? I’ve used it twice so far and have no concerns otherwise.

Hi. You can use it daily if that is what you need. I use it 5x a week but used it daily for over a year. I also live in Canada and another option is Estragyn (estrone). It has worked wonders for the outer are.

The start up in the UK is 2-3 weeks every night then as necessary then twice a week.
MayB ring the surgery to talk about the protocol? Let us know how you get on.
