Title: Vagifem and cystitis

Has anybody had cystitis whilst using vagifem? I've got irritation that started at the end of 8 weeks of vagifem. Itchy sensation in my urethra and wanting to go to the loo more often. Not had it before.  I don't know if it's caused a reaction

Vaginal Atrophy can cause cystitis like symptons, or it could be the fillers in vagifem irritating the urethra but I'd have thought you would have had a reation before now if youve been using it for 8 weeks. Have you reduced the dosage after the initial loading dosage and perhaps need to up it again.  The only way to rule out cystitis is to have your wee tested at the doctors.

As mentioned in your other thread: you can keep to the same or your posts may become lost: restart the VA treatment ASAP.  Some use a dab of 'ovestin' on the outer labia to keep that area from itching.
