Hi.
I’m 41 and started HRT a year ago due to peri symptoms (a list as long as your arm). One symptom was aching & painful joints, particularly my hips. After a few weeks of HRT the issue completely disappeared. Then this summer it gradually started again. I’ve put my HRT up from 2 pumps to 3 but after a couple of months it’s not making any difference. In fact I’d say it’s getting worse. I feel like a bloody old woman and it’s getting me down 🙁

I just read the post about covid vaccine. I wonder if that might be the issue!!!
-
It was actually starting to get better and then I caught covid a couple of weeks ago and it’s worse now.

As oestrogen levels drop the muscles may become lax = aches and pains. Some have found that the C-19 vaccines have been detrimental to treatments as well as inducing periods in women who haven't bled for years. That settles after about 3 months. U may find reporting on the Yellow Card system will help any research.
As levels drop the body may become dry: inside and out. "bladder issues" and "vaginal atrophy" threads are worth a read, 4warned is 4armed. ::)
Do U keep a mood/food/symptom diary?
-
Perhaps it’s nothing to do with hormones I ought to get it checked out as increasing HRT hasn’t really helped.
I haven’t kept a diary because going on HRT practically got rid of all my symptoms, more or less. Just annoying that this one has come back and HRT doesn’t seem to be doing the job. Im finding it hard to even go up & down stairs.
My body doesn’t seem to be absorbing the gel like it used to either. Even if i wait half an hour after it’s dried before I get dressed my clothes still stick to me where I’ve applied.

It could be that the ovaries are over-riding the HRT.

Perhaps leave it a little while and see what happens. My sore hips and other peri symptoms returned for about a month after the covid jab so presumably it's possible after covid too. Definitely worth bearing in mind there might be another reason for it apart from meno. If your other symptoms are controlled by hrt and only the hips are an issue perhaps see your gp.

Hip pain is felt in the groin. Back pain in the 'hips' (pelvis) ;-)

Clkd, this might sound a bit dim on my part but could you expand a bit on your post. I'm getting pain around there.
-
Pain around where?
-
Round my waist on right side and down towards hip and glutes. It sort of varies around.
