This is very weird but I posted a while ago about testosterone apparently causing me to have alcohol intolerance which I had throughout peri. It was only when I started hrt that I could drink anything.

I decided it was worth giving up alcohol but I am now having a return to peri symptoms - flushes, night sweats, joint pain, feeling of doom, frequent migraines. Feel bloody horrendous.

There appears to be a correlation with starting the testosterone but that seems ridiculous. HAs anyone else found this? I can't find anything on testosterone supplementation affecting oestrogen levels anywhere. I'm on 4 pumps of oestrogen and I believe that is the max dose.

I've stopped the testosterone and I'm so hoping that is the cause.

Hi Merlingo68, sorry to hear your symptoms are back. How long have you been on the testosterone?
Are you thinking that the T has lowered your estrogen hence return of symptoms?
If you’re in peri could this be your own hormones fluctuating and possibly needing more estrogen. I don’t think 4 pumps is the max.

I’m not a doctor but didn’t want to read your message and run. Hopefully someone with more knowledge will answer soon.

Hi I started testosterone about 5 weeks ago and have had some positive results however over the last week some of my symptoms have returned, disturbed sleep, dizziness and headaches! I have also started to exercise so am wondering too if my estrogen levels have lowered? I am going to decease my testosterone dose for a few days and see what happens. I don’t want to stop it completely just yet! I have emailed my specialist for advice so will post the response

Sorry forgot to say I’m on 6 pumps so your fine on 4!

Yes I would think try another pump of gel.

Thanks for replies. It’s weird as I can’t find any scientific basis for it but I’ve been really settled on my four pumps for about 2 years or so. And suddenly I’m peri again. I can’t see what else it could be.

Horrible night of sweats. Peri is truly unpleasant

It isn't unusual to need more oestrogen as you progress through meno. I was told max 6 pumps by a specialist. I haven't heard of T causing meno symptoms to return.
