'Morning all.
I'm wondering why I'm experiencing palpitations on increasing dose from Evorel25 to Estradot37.5.?
Thanks!
😊

That sounds uncomfy! I get palpitations with less oestrogen so the opposite to you. :-\

Yes, weird! I'm wondering if this new development indicates fluctuating levels now that I am starting to replace and these need more oestrogen to stabilise? 🤔 It can be hard sometimes to get the head around how deficiency and replacement requirement manifests! 🤯

Morning all.
I get palpitations on low E, it's usually an indicator along with joint pain and heighten anxiety for me. I did also get them when I upped the dose on my gel. Even after it settled I was still getting flutters throughout the day, I never know if its the low level anxiety (those moments when I'm not highly anxious) or it's my own fluctuations.
Interestingly, they significantly reduced, like overnight, when I moved to the patches from the gel. When I upped the patch recently I didn't get them as I did on the gel. It wasn't my reason for changing but I would have changed sooner if I knew it would stop the residential palpitation / flutters.
You've changed brands, could that possibly be it? I read that whilst it may be the same method of applications, some brands suit better than others for some.

That's great you've figured out what works and what changing might do in terms of delivery. Yes, I'd been wondering if two different brands in my first six months on HRT in many, many years has possibly been too much for whatever reason, even something peculiar to me. I see the specialist again this week, so we'll see what transpires. Thanks again!

Palpitations can be a symptom of too much oestrogen as well as too little. It's possible you absorb more from estrodot than evorel so perhaps the effective increase dose is higher than intended. If you can cope with it I would give it a little longer to see if it settles.

Thanks, all very confusing. That's three months on the Estradot now.....and possibly getting worse.
🤔

It may settle but it may be your own Estrogen has dropped also. I get palps when low Estrogen.

I get palpitations when my oestrogen is low. It’s possible that you are feeling worse because you’re not getting enough oestrogen.
Too little oestrogen did nothing for me. x

Would it possible to get your oestrogen level tested? It might help you decide if your levels are too high or too low.

Hi.
Thanks for all your thoughts. She took "baseline bloods" (?) today though we were talking about testosterone at the time. I've to drop back to Evorel25 for a month as she thought the Estradot37.5 didn't agree with me. Then I've to add a half patch to take me up to the current dose. She was very clear that I was to be kept "safe", but that we might consider Evorel50 if needs be.......
