I’m concerned ,I am 49 , had no periods for a year so started on continuous utrogestan every night, and 2 pumps of oestrogel , then up to 3 pumps as symptoms were returning.
I have now reached the 6 months point , and since I started on this treatment I bleed for 7 days ,have a 5-7 day break and bleed again. When I bleed it’s like a normal period, so heavy for 4 days then gets lighter.
As you can imagine I am so tired of bleeding what seems like forever !
Am I doing something wrong ? Anyone else experience this ?
Do I need more progesterone ?
My mood also is so up and down ….
Please help ?

I would see you gp, any post menopausal bleeding should be investigated. You may have a polyp or fibroid. It's possible for your own hormones to give you a period even after a year (the nhs use a year for safety).

I have experienced this on 5 pumps of oestrodiol and continuos ultrogestan 1 daily.
The Meno clinic upped my ultrogestan to 2 daily and no bleeding since. I would go back and explain what's happening and ask if an increase in ultrogestan would work.
Hope this helps ;)
