Title: Period due in race day
Post by: Floodlights on October 03, 2021, 02:28:26 PM
Totally off topic but wondered if anyone can advise. I’m in one pump of oestrogel and 100mg of utrogestan. I’m completing a marathon in a couple of weeks. My period is due that day. Being peri, my periods are horrible. Heavy and clotty. And totally wipe me out. Can I use the utrogestan to delay my period for a day or two? By upping it for the second of the two weeks I take it for?

Any other ideas?

Running is the best medicine for my peri symptoms. So kinda related to meno matters….. I hope.

Thanks in advance xx

If U don't ask U don't find out ;-)

Hopefully someone will be along with advice.

Good Luck!

Is the utrogeston on a sequi regime? (just that 'normal' dose is 200mg). If so I would delay the start of it for a couple of days. If you still have a strong cycle of your own it may well override the hrt though so you may bleed anyway.
