Good Afternoon, I just wondered if there was anyone who may have had the same experience to the one I have had for the last couple of months. I am on HRT patches and progesterone capsules which have taken away a lot of the usual menopause symptoms but I still have some difficulty sleeping and more recently seem to have on and off a smell of smoke which isn't there. As it seems to be getting worse, I am getting more worried.
Has anyone else experience this or is it maybe unrelated?
Would be gratefull for any feedback.
Thank you

Hi
Sorry I can't help but I smell smoke all the time, especially at night when I can't sleep, I've told my doctor in the past and they don't seem bothered about it.
Hope others here can help you
Take care

I have a thread began years ago: Oh errrrr : because I think that I smell wiffy, DH however :-* doesn't seem to notice ::)
I took The Pill for 11 years and didn't realise until about 12 months after stopping, that all I could smell was garbage >:( :-X :sick02: So smelling smoke is probably hormonally related. Do U have a smoke alarm which would ease any worries?

Thank you for the replies, I am going to ask the GP about it but guessing it is hormone related and it seems to be since a new brand of patch with decreased Oestrogen.

Hi there
I've had exactly the same thing happening for years. I smell cigarette smoke. I've always put it down to anxiety as I seem to get it when I'm feeling particularly anxious/stressed. Never related it to hormones but actually It's been happening more frequently lately so it could definitely be that.
Please let us know what that Dr says.
