Title: HRT - please tell me it’s worth it!
Post by: Karensmiles on September 13, 2021, 08:40:49 AM
Ok - it’s early days but after 2 months on Elleste Duet Conti and 5 weeks of spotting, my GP swapped me to Evorel 50 patch plus 100mg micronised progesterone.

4 days in and bleeding worse - more like a period now!  :-\

Please tell me this will settle and be worth it?

Hi!  Tell us more about yourself: age, if your periods are regular or not .......

What does it say on the leaflet in the box?  Perhaps put the name of the product into the search box on the Forum, if it works see what pops up.  Make notes ;-)

Are you meno (1 year without a bleed) or peri? If peri you might be better on a sequi regime, if meno some bleeding in the first 6 months isn't unusual. Does it feel like a period?

Thanks for the responses!

I’m 61 and had late menopause-last period just over 3 years ago.

I’m on my 4th day of Evorel 50 patch.

My main symptom was night sweats but want HRT to protect my future health too  :) :
