Title: Anger issues / mood swings on HRT
Post by: FelineFine on September 09, 2021, 10:53:25 AM
Hello ladies,

After some shared experiences once more. :)

I'm suffering with terrible anger when a few days into the Utrogestan 200 pessaries, and it lasts for a couple of weeks. I mean, I'm horrible, wanting to argue with anyone. I spoke to the dr about it and she upped my Evorel 50s to 75s with the proviso that I could go higher. Reducing the progestone was not an option despite my asking. She mentioned the coil again but that's not a go-er for me for a number or reasons.

I've always had issues with progesterone with PMS and lethargy. Any recommendations at all? Supplements? I've just taken up yoga and try to meditate daily.

Anything worked for you to ease the rage!?

Thanks in advance xx

If it happens every time you're on utro I'm not sure adding else will help. I get fatigue on utro and nothing I add seems to make any difference. The only thing that has made it any better is when my own cycle doesn't happen. Have you tried vaginally? According to Louise Newson you can halve the dose if used this way (so 100mg x 12days). Some use as little as 100mg x7 days but you really need regular scans in case it isn't enough. Have you tried any other progestins? You may find something that suits you better than utro.
