Had a new Simba hybrid mattress on Sunday. V comfy but omg the sweats...although has coincided with the rise in temperature! Has anyone used a cooling pad/mattress protector...any tips? Otherwise it will have to go back....

Do U have a 60 day returns on the mattress?
I found any type of 'topper' made me very hot, that was way B4 I went into peri..

Hi
Not necessarily connected but I find all my bedding has to be cotton now, anything else I just can't cope as the sweats are worse.
Could you try a cotton mattress protector with cotton sheets?
Take care

Hi Emm225, I had the same problem with a Benson's super expensive mattress that made me really hot (on top of my 'normal' flushes) and found Ikea did a cooling topper which actually did work - though I ended up hating the mattress anyway and got rid of it.
Can't remember the name sorry, but it's a thin fabric diamond stitched topper, not a thicker foam or gel thingie. Bought it some years ago so they may not make it still, but it's worth your while doing a google search for cooling toppers, see what's out there.

In my experience, anything remotely "memory" related is a complete non-starter. It has to be 100% cotton next to or near my skin for the optimum regulation of temperature.

Postmeno3, totally agree about anything 'memory' related - it's like sleeping on an electric blanket :angryfire:

The mattress does have a 200 night sleep guarantee so it's not a problem...but I really wanted it to give me a good night's sleep :-(
