Title: Menopause bleed
Post by: 3ducks1goose on August 29, 2021, 11:44:07 AM
Hi
I’m new to your Forum.
I’ve been told I’d have 4 week wait to book appointment to talk to my GP, and wonder if someone could help with their own experience?
I am 8 months into menopause, and then had a 10 day bleed.
Is this to be expected?

Yep.  U R in peri-menopause which can begin 10 years prior to the last monthly period.

Do U keep a mood/food/symptom diary to chart progress?  It is usual that, after 12 months without a bleed, we can begin 2 think we are done.  My periods waxed and waned for several years B4 they disappeared.

 :welcomemm:  browse round.  Make notes.

Yes, the only thing that's guaranteed is that everything will go haywire. When you say 8 months into meno do you mean 8 months since the last bleed? Meno is defined as 12 months without a bleed because it isn't unusual to have big gaps between bleeds.

Thank you, that’s put my mind at rest 😊
