I'm beginning to wonder whether there's something wrong with my body's temperature control system.
I had what I thought were hot flushes some time ago, a kind of volcanic heat, feeling very very hot, but all on the inside. More recently, I've started to sweat profusely when I move about ... Difficult to explain, as it's not consistent, kind of connected to if I'm doing something that requires concentration and movement. For example, I recently put together some flat pack furniture and the sweat was just pouring off me, whereas, I was able to walk to and from the supermarket in that heatwave carrying shopping and I was completely fine.
Is it a different sort of hot flush?
You'd think I'd know this sort of stuff by now.

4 me that would be caused by stress. Flatpack - what ever the item is, it would still be in the box! ::)
Also walking uses different muscles, outside so there is more air circulating. If U were bending down to sort the flatpack .......... in an enclosed space?
Fortunately I haven't suffered flushing ........... you've been through a lot too in recent weeks.

My hot flushes have changed since they started. At first I just got a flushed face for a few months, back then I didn’t think it was menopause starting! Then about a year later I got the heat from my chest and up but rarely sweated.
Now I get all types, some I get all sweaty and they follow up with a cold shill or some I don’t sweat at all.
I work as a cleaner and I work really fast and it doesn’t make my flushes more intense, then I can be sitting watching tv and I have a full blown hot sweaty flush.
If I’m having anxiety or stressed I will have intense ones too

Same for me elkwarning,I've just come back from a long walk UP A HILL and was fine but if I bend down to put washing in the machine I start sweating

Would it be postural ?

Hi
I sweat more now rather than burning feeling I used to get. Usually mid morning and whilst in bed. When I get them in the morning I also feel lightheaded, spacey feeling. Blood sugar checked, all ok as I thought I may be diabetic but not.

Hi ladies
Yeah, I was wondering whether it was stress. I've been wearing a Fitbit for a couple of years (all the time) and it's not showing a huge leap in heart rate when these enormous sweats come on ...
However, I realised I had an ear infection (very minor, slightly crackling, and I'd put it to the back of my mind). It's getting better now after a few days treatment, and so is the sweating, could have been postural, connected in a strange way.
Bizarre.

I get this too, I’m 64 and the flushes happen when I bend or exert myself and now I get prickly tingles in my upper body with them. I’m always stressed and anxious.
