I've been experiencing serious skin irritation with a number of transdermal oestrogen options: various patches, Oestrogel and Lenzetto spray.
As I'm not a good candidate for oral oestrogen I've been wondering about the implant/pellets. I'm seeing a specialist next month so would like to be prepared.
How does this work? I understand the initial cut is just 5mm, that it's closed with steri-strips and leaves a small scar. As the pellets need to be replaced every few months do you end up with lots of scars, or do they re-open the initial one? Call me vain, but I really don't like the idea of having lots of blemishes accumulating on my torso over the years. My self-esteem has taken a fair few hits lately, as it is.

Have U talked to a Pharmacist about these or been referred to a Specialist?

Yes, seeing a specialist next month but i'm interested in hearing from people who have had the oestrogen implants themselves. And whether they use the same site repeatedly or you end up with numerous scars.

Interesting and certainly worth finding out.
