Hi. Has anyone any experience of starting HRT triggering blood sugar issues? I'm three months in on the lowest Evorel patch and am noticing a heavy waking sweat, tingling hands, sometimes feet and very occasional head pains. All new things which may not be related to HRT at all. I aim to get bloods taken this week and have a specialist review, but just wondered if this is a temporary adjusting phase you've experienced or something to be more concerned about. Everything else is as normal as possible for me, healthy BMI, non-smoking, almost zero alcohol etc. Bit of a surprise and mystery! 🤔

That doesn't sound like 'blood sugars' to me. What makes you think it might be?
4 me when my blood sugar drops I feel instantly sick, light headed and have to sit down. That was when I was anorexic , by eating every 3 hours I feel much better. I know within hours if my body needs energy.
Sweats are known to wake people, men and women. Tingling hands mayB related - it could also be due to sleeping heavily. Head pains - do you mean zaps ?
If the HRT is helping, don't go looking for problems ? Do U keep a mood/food/symptom diary?

Glucose intolerance/pre-diabetes? Hands and, much less so, feet feet can tingle or "spark" for long spells and occasionally go numb. May be an arthritic flare, but timing is of interest. I can doze off after a carby meal. The head just has a kind of clenched throb for a few seconds, sometimes a brief series of three or four. I did read quite a range of pieces somewhere about hrt and how it can change how the body manages glucose. Has anyone any links? Thanks.

R U drinking more than you would expect?
What colour is your urine?
I can sleep after a meal ............. that's natural for animals anyway ;) to burn off what the body requires, as well as exercising after a meal might cause complications.
MayB copy and paste what you have read ?
If worried, ask your GP for a fasting blood sugar test to give you a guideline?

Not thirsty. Urine varies according to input, but is not dark/strong/smelly. Yeah, but it's more like crashing after a carby meal as in having to sleep, not just having a full-up, pleasant nod off. I will get that test, I think, but the link between hormonal change and glucose tolerance interests me if anyone has any "proper" evidence.
