I’ve been on estrogel for about 5 years with a mirena coil. I’ve had intermittent hair loss over the years usually down to low iron or B12. I started with itchy skin on my face then body last year and thus May the hair loss started again along with a really itchy scalp. All the usual blood tests have come back normal. I’ve just had the mirena coil changed as it was due so wondered if that was causing it and now replaced it may improve? I’ve also read that low estrogen can cause dry skin and scalp so wondered if I should try increasing my dosage from 2 pumps a day. The itchy scalp is driving me mad and coupled with more hair loss than usual is distressing! Any advice?

Can't comment on the coil etc but I use betnovate lotion on my itchy scalp,works a treat,it's prescription only or you can buy it from online pharmacies,what kind of shampoo do you use? I can't use scented ones as they set my itchiness off
