Title: Oestrogel Dose
Post by: sisterninja on July 28, 2021, 03:49:52 PM
Hi
I’m now on the third month of using Oestrogel two pumps daily. My flushes and sweats are totally gone but I’m suffering dreadful breast pain, swollen lower legs and feet and facial pigments.
I used Elleste Solo 1mg for five years without issue but changed due to a significant family history of clots and stroke.
What should I do? Reduce and if so how? Or change gel.
I have the Mirena coil for Progesterone.
Thanks.

Hi sisterninja

I'm sorry to hear that you are suffering some side effects. You could try lowering by half a pump and see if it helps?

:-)

I also have the same problem. So much so I’m seriously thinking of stopping. The night sweats are gone, but is have no more energy than before, feel bloated, and my breasts feel like they did when I was pregnant, tender and heavy, and I think they are bigger - I’m already a 36J so really don’t need any more!! I’m using one and a bit pumps at the moment.

I’ve read many times that sore breasts are an indication of too high a dose, I think it’s difficult if you still have your own cycle to get hormones just right. Perhaps drop the dose slightly and see if that helps.
