Hi there,
I'm actually asking for sister-in-law who asked me for advice!
she had to change to kliofem about a year ago due to shortages of patch.
now the patch- evorel- is back in circulation and she's wondering whether she should go back on it?
i said i didnt really know though i'm under the impression docs prefer trans-dermal route if poss.
i asked if she felt any difference and she doesn't but has put on some weight and wondered if that could be kliofem.
i've had a look at doses and i know it's difficult to compare but i think that the kliofem may be a higher dose?? so it wasn't like for like.
kliofem 2mg orally; evorel 50mcg trans-dermally. in my head i tend to think of 50mcg being equivalent to 1mg orally.
could that account for weight gain?
thanks for any help :)

Hi was she using the Evorel Conti patches ? x

i don't actually know, dotty- but can ask. is there a difference between the sequi and the conti?
i meant to say as well, that she has had high blood pressure and i wondered if docs might prefer that she has patch for that reason.

Hi yes, it would be useful to know if she was on Evorel Conti, Evorel Sequi or Evorel (oestrogen only.) Then we can tell you if Kliofem is an equivalent. X
