Hello, I am looking for support groups/ advice in the Tyne and Wear area. My doctor has mentioned one or two national websites and online organisations but I would love to find a local group of Geordie women to talk with, compare experiences and find help and support. Any ideas? I feel as if I am going through this all alone.
Thank you,
Rhonda Handyside.

You're not alone whilst you are here ;-)
How sympathetic is your Practice Nurse, would she know enough to set up a group at the surgery occasionally? Perhaps there might be information at the local Hospital/s? Could you go on local radio and ask if any1 would like to form a group? MayB meeting in a Library as a safe place or on-line.
Is there a menopause Clinic in the area?

Some great ideas here. I will look into some of them. I was thinking of writing to my MP about the situation. I find it quite shocking that there is little or no support.

Do write 2 your MP. Alerting them isn't a bad idea.
Let us know how you get on.

I'll keep you informed. :)

UPDATE!
I have had a letter from my MP this morning suggesting she gives me a call to discuss taking the matter forward, including potentially how we set up a group in the area. Would anyone be interested? Does anyone have any suggestions as to discussion points etc?
