Help!
I have hot flushes in my legs and feeling of hot water pouring down my left calf. It's been going in continuously for 3 days and one incident 6 days ago. Should I see a doctor or is this a relatively normal thing to experience with the menopause?
Any comments would be really appreciated! I am desperate.

It could be a number of things including circulation and a trapped nerve so i would check it out at the doctors.

An altered sensation can feel like water on the skin. My Dad had a cartilage operation on his knee area and ever after, when bending, it would feel as though he was kneeling in a puddle ::)
Sciatica can cause similar feelings. As oestrogen levels drop, muscles may become lax = aches and pains etc.. Make a note over the weekend - is it after sitting, walking, sleeping - then ring for advice.

Hi Jill. This is not specifically a meno system so it is a good idea to get it checked out. I've had the same feeling as if I have my leg pressed against a hot radiator. Mine is linked to tight muscles in my hip giving a referred sensation. I have physio every now and again if it bothers me but I mostly just ignore it. I also have fibromyalgia which can give similar sensations but then they are symmetrical and happen in both legs. You can get a lot of skin/nerve sensations if you have arthritis in the neck or spine which may not be giving you any other symptoms. I can't link here but if you Google Spine health nerve pain you will find more info

I saw the doctors today and she thinks it's nerve issues too and I have been referred.
