Title: Confused-Too Much Oestrogen ?
Post by: cizersouzey on July 02, 2021, 07:35:43 AM
Hello
This is my first post - Looking for advice.
Diagnosed Peri at 39 now almost 42 and been advised to take HRT.
Had been on (wrong prescription?)  Evorel Conti...but noticed no improvement in symptoms.
Symptoms mostly mood swings, reduced
mood, tearfullness, irritability, anxiety, acne  :(insomnia, reduced sex drive, weight gain, heavy prolonged sometimes irregularperiods
 No hot flushes....ever.
Initial specialist appointment identified elevated hormone levels.
Recently been reading about oestrogen dominance and it seems to me that my symptoms are more in keeping with this .
Therefore I'm confused as to why increasing my hormone level with HRT will help and worried that it may infacy be harmful?
Willing to give it a try though as something m
needs to change, cant suffer these symptoms / changes for much longer.
Feel as though I dont recognise myself and that I'm turning into a monster.

Any advice much appreciated.
Thanks

C.S

It could be that your blood level was high because it was a fluctuation not that it is your normal level if you are in peri. Just a thought..
