I have had headaches on and off for a week now. I feel heavy headed most of the time and kind of fuzzy and faint. I've been on a 3 week cycle for a while but my last period was 4 weeks ago and counting. Seeing my doctor soon but would like to know if there is anything I can do in the meantime? Also feel quite tired.

Hi rhandysides - your post got missed. Sounds like it would be a good idea to get a blood test from your doc to look at general health if you are feeling tired a lot of the time. Also peri-menopause is a time of great hormonal fluctuation so it could be that. Maybe you will start your period soon? The drop in oestrogen that comes just before a period as well as the fall in progesterone - can cause headaches. Make sure you eat plenty of slow release foods and not too much sugary stuff or refined carbs - so as to keep your blood sugar more stable - this might help with feelings of faintness. I presume you will mention this to the doc?
Let us know how you get on with the doc.
