Title: Oestrogel and Utrogestan dosage
Post by: Rae64 on June 20, 2021, 07:32:44 AM
Hello, I have been suffering from flushes 24/7 for 5+ years and finally (after a meltdown) have decided to try HRT again.  I tried it a few years ago but it just didn't suit me for various reasons.  I have 2 pumps of Oestrogel in the morning and Utrogestan (progesterone x 100micrograms) nightly and vaginally.  I recently spoke to a menopause specialist who told me to take the progesterone orally and to double it to 200 micrograms at night.  My question is if I take this dose orally will it cause break-through bleeding?  The last time I had this HRT (Oestrogen patches and Utrogestan) and took the Utrogestan orally I had awful break-through bleeding that made me stop.  So far using it vaginally I have not had any bleeding and I don't want to have to deal with any bleeding.

Thanks for any help with this issue I have :)
