I’ve been on Evorel Conti patches for the last 7-8 months.
I have had awful nausea and bloating which I have put down to IBS.
However, I ran out of patches and took off the last one 3 days ago. Since then I have noticed an improvement in the nausea and bloating. Is this a coincidence or could the patches have been causing my symptoms?
Can anyone tell me what other effects you’ve had after stopping HRT and how quickly they happened?

I have been on Evorel sequi for a few months and ripped it off on Monday due to awful bloating. I’d also put in half a stone in weight despite running four times a week and eating very healthily. In five days I’ve dropped 5 pounds! Now tell me that’s not the patches! I’m with you 100%

Nothing is worth tolerating the bloating is it? That's the part I hated in my menstrual cycle :(
MayB keep a mood/food/symptom diary to chart progress?

If it happens again when you restart I would ask for a different make.

Yes this does remind me of my periods, I always got bloated and felt sick for a few days before and during.
I’m really reluctant to go back on it, although last night I noticed my hot flushes have started again 😞

The two times I've had to stop my HRT all of my symptoms returned by the three month mark. Hot flushes were the first ones after around four weeks. You may find that you have a bleed now that you've stopped the progesterone.
The progesterone in Evorel is known to cause bloating so, as Sheila says, a change of progesterone may solve things if you do decide to restart.

I’m really reluctant to start again. I initially tried Femostan tablets then tried Evorel Sequi but had nausea and bloating on both and now the same with conti.
My only concern is that I should be on HRT as I’m only 45 but have been going through the menopause for the past few years.

I think you should try hard to find something that suits you, osteoporosis isn't much fun either. You have plenty of options yet, have a look at the Treatments tab.

Yes you’re right, I’ll speak to my GP and try something else.

@NicolaJ Are you going to try another HRT?…. I know I should but I’m getting a bit fed up with it all. This is my third HRT

Not at the moment. This is my third attempt. I’m trying the Femarelle Recharge. My body is reducing by the day, I feel like I can eat again.
