Morning everyone, I wonder if someone could clarify something for me please. I used to be on patches (Evorel Sequi 50) and because they aren’t available at the moment my GP has prescribed gel (80 gram once a day) and progesterone capsules (200mg daily). Is this equivalent to the dose I would get from a 50 patch?
Would ask the GP but it’s so difficult to get hold of one at the moment!
Thanks in advance x

2 pumps of gel is roughly equivalent to 50mg patch though of course you may absorb differently. Utrogeston 200mg for 12 days, days 15-26 (where day 1 is the first day of bleed).

Hi glass
I presume it is the total pump pack that's 80 g! And that you have been prescribed gel at 2 pumps per day? Also if have you been prescribed 200 mg daily - this dose is for cyclical use ie 12 days per 28 day cycle as per sheila99. Daily dose would be 100 mg unless doc prescribed double dose for a particular reason?

Hi Hurdity,
Thanks for your the reply. She has prescribed Oestrogel as ‘apply once daily’. No mention of how many pumps. And Progesterone 100mg capsules daily for 2 weeks, take 2 capsules per day. I have to admit it is all rather vague to me as I’m used to the 50mg cyclical patches 🤔. I think I need to call the doctors again but it is such a pain trying to get answers 🤨 x
