Hi, I am waiting for my period to start before I can begin Sandrena gel and then utrogestan on day 15. My difficulty is that my periods are irregular and it has been 2 months since my last one and could be however long until my next, thus delaying me starting HRT.
Do I have to wait so that I know when day 15 is? Or can I just start now and add utrogestan in 15 days? Surely then I would bleed two weeks later and create a new pattern? I don’t know how much more broken sleep with hot flushes I can take in this warmer weather.
The patient leaflet for Sandrena says start anytime and for utrogestan says day 15. I did look at a patch Sequi leaflet and that said for irregular periods could start at any time sowondered if I could do the same?
Thank you for any advice

Exactly. Just that. Start now else you could be waiting months if you end up being later in peri-menopause. If you end up being out of sync with your bleeding pattern then you can adjust the time that you tske the utrogestan at a later date. Good luck!
