Hello everyone!
I’m peri menopausal and have an appointment with the menopause clinic re HRT soon.
I’ve had a tension type headache regularly for 18 months (not usual for me/all health issues checked out/not massively stressed etc)
Did anytime else experience this and did HRT help? I’m so frustrated with it all .....
Many thanks!!!

Hi Happydayz
I know how you feel as I had horrendous headaches at the start of peri menopause, but as I was only 40 at the time the GP said it wasn’t due to menopause and prescribed me Naproxen.
That was fine for a while until other symptoms appeared and I eventually got the HRT that I wanted.
You may still get headaches for the first few months on HRT but they should soon settle down.
Good luck!

Happydaz,
I have same issue, tension type headaches for over 1 year now. Started quite suddenly and so unusual for me as never have headaches. Recently had X-ray of neck which shows wear and tear and now think that's where headaches and nerve pain are coming from. So annoying and some days hard to deal with.
I'm 55 and post menopausal and never been on HRT.
Good luck.
