Title: HRT and Alzheimer’s
Post by: JulesR on May 07, 2021, 10:38:42 AM
Hi I’m new on here. Does anyone have any thoughts on HRT to help Alzheimer’s?
I have a family history of Alzheimer’s and I am thinking of HRT to help.

Hi JulesR. Sorry to hear about your family history of Alzheimers. My mum and my brother had dementia but not Alzheimers. Have you read the info on the Alzheimers site? https://www.alzheimers.org.uk/about-dementia/risk-factors-and-prevention/hormones-and-dementia? I'm not sure it's been discussed on here before but it's really interesting as to how the lack of oestrogen may impact on our risk of developing dementia in later life so thank you for posting about it.

I think there's a leaflet on Dr. Newson's site on this?
