Title: Constipation - Milk of Magnesia
Post by: wuzzie on April 24, 2021, 12:35:56 PM
Hi ladies, MofM doesn’t seem to be manufactured anymore.  Can anyone recommend an alternative?  Particularly interested in the magnesium element.

Hi Wuzzie. Holland and Barrett do 100mg magnesium citrate tablets. Taken first thing on an empty stomach with a cup of tea, I find they work well.

Isn't Milk of Magnesia is on the shelves in the supermarkets ?   It can cause constipation though ;-).

Add more water/soups to your diet and I find that exercise helps move my bowel, I suffer from slow transit  >:(.  If it affects me a lot I stop all medication for 24 hours, that seems to do the trick  ::)
