Morning Ladies
Before I call my GP just wanted to run something past you.
Been on Femseven Conti 8 weeks and having some positive results, although not all plain sailing. However for the last few weeks I feel both thighs have doubled in size, feel heavy and painful during the night. Better during the day whilst moving around. I think its Oedema from the patches but would love your advice?? Will it settle at 3 months??
Any ideas of natural products which will help ??

Morning.  If you feel uncomfortable better to get it checked?  Anything in the leaflet within the box, I may have asked B4  ::).  Have you put a tape measure around your thighs?
Menopause is natural.  It's the symptoms that can become overwhelming.  Which would you like to ease first?

I would see your gp. If it's caused by the patch it's likely to be an allergic reaction and you should use something else. If it isn't the patch you need to find out what it is. Is it worse on the side with the patch? When I had an allergic reaction to it I had a rash but no swelling. I wouldn't leave it for 3 months.

Hi and thanks for your response.
On leaflet it says swelling due to Oedema can affect parts of body. In my case possibly thighs :-\
Never thought allergic reaction would just affect both thighs  :(

If this is worrying you, mayB ask for a different way of delivering the HRT?

As CLKD says, and know this sounds daft, but are you keeping a measurement diary of your thigh circumference? You need to note down both thighs measurements from when you first get up, during the day and at bedtime. Although they may feel more swollen at different times it's useful to see what the difference is and you can then discuss this with the doctor. I agree it needs checking out.
