Morning, for the second day in a row my patch has come off in the shower! I’m feeling increasingly upset over this and feel that I’ve followed all the guidance on how best to stick them on and where.
I have now tried buttock and lower tummy.
I’d appreciate advice from you lovely ladies as I’d really like to give these a go!
Thank you xxxxx

For the 24hrs I trialled my patch I put it on my upper thigh on the front of leg.

How long had the patch been on before you showered? Also did you press it down firmly with your palm, the warmer the better, for a long enough time? It's such a pain if they don't stick :(

Hi Taz
Yes it had been on 24 hours and I tried holding it on for a while and blasted it with the hairdryer too.
I’ve waited a while since my shower today and will soon try another one on. I hope I get my next prescription okay as I’ll obviously have gone through more than I should have :(

I found the top of the buttock best as it was more muscly/firmer than the thigh. Is it Evorel?

Thanks Taz yes it’s everol x

Wash with Simple soap, towel dry thoroughly and apply, mine used to peel off before this method, now they stick like glue 😊. I put them on alternate bum cheeks. My patches are Estraderm which are renown for falling off. Mine stay on even in a hot bath now.

Thanks Lilleth!
Do you mean the Simple brand? So are you washing in the shower with this and putting the patch on afterwards or do you mean you was the area desperately and then apply?
I'm using half a patch so don't know if this is making it harder to stick?
Thanks

Half patch is more likely to fall off as the adhesive is around the edges of the patch so one side probably doesn't stick?

I don't think the adhesive is only round the edge - if it was you wouldn't absorb from the middle portion as it has to all be in direct contact with the skin. I cut my Evorel patches in half and they stick just as well as the whole ones. For me the secret has been making sure that the area I'm sticking it to is completely clean and dry, so no traces of bath oil, shower gel or body lotion. Now tey stick so thoroughly it's like trying to remove a plaster getting them off!

Thanks Racjen
So what do you wipe or clean the skin with before applying to ensure all traces of soap etc are gone?

Surgical spirit should do it.

Thanks ladies
I wiped my Skin with alcohol first then applied and held the patch on for a few minutes. It's seems quite well stuck although I am not convinced that all of the edges are firmly stuck. It has survived one shower so we will see how tomorrow goes!

I just wash the area with soap, rinse and dry really really well.

Cookie, I either wash in the shower or just shower the area lol. And yes it's Simple brand soap, but any plain soaps with no added moisturizer or perfume will do. ;)
I don't use a full patch either, I cut a strip off with sharp scissors.

I had the same problem, nothing worked. I've used Opsite flexifit.

Thank you everyone for taking the time to reply to me. I'm working through all your suggestions and hopefully will find something that works. So far Friday's one is still on, so fingers crossed it lasts until Tuesday as scheduled! ;)
