Title: Questions about Estrogel and Mirena
Post by: Daisybunny on March 29, 2021, 11:05:05 AM
Hello. I am 59 and have the Mirena and have been using 3 pumps of Estrogel for a few years. What I am wondering is :when do you know you need fewer pumps? I have been feeling very tired recently and am unsure if this is a sign that I should go down to 2 pumps?
Also, I will be due to have the Mirena removed or replaced next year - at my age should I be aiming to have it removed (in which case I feel I should start decreasing the number of pumps) or is it safe to continue with it into my 60s? I originally got the Mirena because I was bleeding and had to have polyps removed. If I have it removed could I have the same problems again?
I can`t find much info online either about signs you need less pumps or about using the Mirena as you get older, so I am hoping someone on here can help. Thanks in advance x
