Title: Q can changing HRT cause temporary return in symptoms ?

Morning Ladies

My question is..... Can change in HRT cause a return in symptoms?

I have just applied my 5th Femseven conti patch and having some horrid either side effects or symptoms are due to reduction in estragon. Symptoms include morning sweating (stop lunch time) moods up and down, a little weepy continue to get hip pain, anxiety etc. As I was already on Oestrogel 2/3 pumps am thinking my estragon should be quite levelled. Just wondering if because of the change over it may have dropped?? or are these just side effects that should settle. On a positive my dizziness off balance feeling is a little better.

Hi yes, a change of hrt can cause symptoms to return. Which hrt were you taking previously ? X

You may absorb it differently so even if it's the same dose on paper you still be getting less than you need.

Hi Ladies

I was using Oestrogel with seperate 7 day Northisterone. Following my hysterscope where they found lining to be 7,8mm told to try conti HRT. As I was ok on Femseven Sequi several years ago and did ok thought I would go with Femseven Conti. But feeling Im not absorbing but should I carry on as its only been 4 weeks?? I know its not great keep changing and Everel Conti doesn't suite me.

I used between 2/3 any higher found I became hyper...

May be going onto patch it just needs time to bed in....

I think the patch you are now on is a lower dose but it also depends on absorption.

Hi if you were using 3 pumps of Oestrogel, then it’s likely that the patch isn’t giving you as much oestrogen . This might cause the reoccurrence of symptoms. x
