Title: Should all signs of flushes disappear when on HRT?
Post by: mumandwife on March 25, 2021, 10:08:54 PM
Before HRT my flushes weren't huge, I didn't drip with sweat but I just got a sweep of heat all over.

I then went on a 75 patch and Utrogestan continual

5 months later I felt better generally (brain fog, doziness gone) but still have weird feelings - sort of a moment of light headedness then like a hot head for a second or 2.
I also get very overheated when trying to get ready to go out in the mornings - using hair dryer/straightener - I end up so hot.

Could it be that I'm still feeling the flushes?

Dr said I can up patch to 100 but I'm not sure how to know if I need to or not?  What will too much estrogen do to me?  Side effects?

My Dr is pretty clueless about HRT and I've had to push for everything.

Please can someone give me some ideas?

Thanks

Sounds like you need to increase the dose.

I'm not sure if you're deficient or not. Usually flushes go before anything else. Might be worth increasing to see, you can always reduce if it doesn't work.
