Hi Libragirl, welcome to the forum. Yes, you would be able to start HRT, but I fear it may necessitate going to a private menopause specialist, as a GP is unlikely to prescribe at your age. However, you could ask for a referral to an NHS menopause clinic.
I restarted HRT at 68, having been denied further supplies in 2003 after the discredited WHI studies. At 71, I now use oestrogen patches and testosterone, plus vaginal oestrogen for VA. These were prescribed by a NHS menopause clinic.

Hi JP. Thank you so much for replying so soon.. Yes I thought of going private anyway I'm at a loss with these hormones n understanding and reading lab results it's took me a long while to understand all the other blood test results re thyroid etc it's just when Gp say alls Normal range means nothing as I'm learning.. now to find a menopause clinic or a good consultant in the Essex area

Hi Libragirl and welcome.
If you click on SPECIALISTS on the black bar selection at the top, you should be directed to where you can get local help. I'm in the same boat as you and just feel the gps don't seem to be up to date with developments like ours require and/or are protecting themselves. I'm waiting for my first appointment with my local NHS menopause clinic and am very optimistic! Good luck!
