Title: Patch query

I recently switched from Estradiol 1mg tablets to Estradot patch 50 micrograms on the advice of my GP because I get fairly regular migraines. 

However, I feel as if I've aged about 20 years! My joints ache and the quality of my sleep has deteriorated. Both were fine with the HRT tablet.

I'm wondering if anyone else has found this?

It took me a long time on patches to feel any difference, a good few months. Where are you applying them ?, do you use a perfume and moisturizer free soap before application ?.

I think you need to increase the dose. I don't know how it compares but it might be that you don't absorb it so well.

Lillith, I'm putting the patches on my tummy. I'm very lazy when it comes to moisturising so definitely not that.  I use Dove soap in the shower but I apply the patch long after the skin has dried.

Sheila, yes I have wondered the same. Think I might speak to my GP about trying an increased dose.
