Hi everyone! It’s been ages since I was last here! Some may remember me? Unfortunately though everything is still the same with me BUT I’m a nan nan again! So now have 2 grandsons 💙
Anyway I’m trying HRT again now, my periods have started to come early each month so maybe things are changing?
This time it’s through my GP not prof studd. I’ve been prescribed 2 pumps of estrogen per day which I started approx 3 weeks ago and the dreaded Utrogesten! GP wants me to take 200mg vaginally for 14 days!! even though I’ve told her about my intolerance (there’s letters from prof Studd confirming this is my notes)
I’ve asked if I can take 100mg for 7 days (vaginally) as this is what Studd recommend. She’s basically said no even though she knows it’s prescribed in the private sector.
I don’t know what to do? This week I’ve only taken 100mg and tomorrow will be 7 days. Will this be enough to cause a bleed?
She’s also prescribed testosterone but I’m yet to start.
Hope everyone’s well x

Could you not try 100mg for at least ten days, I use this method, have for many many years, it seems to give a decent bleed and yes, use vaginally.

Chi chi I use 7 days vaginally and I get a decent bleed x

Thanks for the replies,
Perinowpost what form/dose of estrogen do you have? I’m currently on just 2 pumps but before when I was seeing Studd he had me on 4 and just 7 days on Utrogesten.
I decided to stick with 7 days so I finished on Sunday, no sign of a bleed yet, not sure when to expect one??

Do you mean Professor Studd :-\

Yes?

I am on evorel 50 patches. I swap at the end of every third day rather than twice a week. I believe this is equivalent to 2 pumps of gel.
I always get my bleed on the third day after finishing utrogestan, hang on in there I’m sure it’s on it’s way x

Thank you 😊 x
