Hi
Can anyone recommend a good Gynacologist who also knows about HRT. I appreciate this site has names of doctors in NW, however would prefer recommdations as personal experience is best. Post menopause bleeding and hormones all over the place.
Thanks Wx

Morning. I would look for a menopause clinic as Gyanes often don't know much more than GPs about HRT. Some Gynaes do work at Menopause Clinics .......... mayB GOOGLE?

Hi Warwick01,
If you go on the British Menopause society website and hit "Find a Specialist", enter your area and it will bring a list up. Most hospitals have a menopause clinic, I am in Bolton and my GP referred me to my local BMI the Beaumont hospital clinic where I saw a gynaecologist who specialises in menopause.
This is what the website says:-
"Find your nearest BMS-recognised menopause specialist
To find your nearest BMS-recognised menopause specialist, simply enter your postcode below (if this hasn’t been located automatically), select your chosen filters and click ‘search’. Then click on the resulting clinic names for further information and contact details"
Hope you get some help there.x

Hi Warwick, I've only seen Dr Jonathan Broome over the past year or so - and had a follow up telephone consultation with him a few weeks ago.
I had spoken to his secretary previously who said if I had any questions for him in light of the the clinics being closed I could e-mail her? She gave it to me so it could be that you can do the same?
Although Dr Broome told me to take one or two pumps Tostran gel every day, to which Hurdity replied "Yikes that's way too much" and couldn't understand why he'd said that when the BMS recommend twice a week for women??
