Hi Lucy69, it could be from the increase in oestrogen or a number of other things, Covid included. Hopefully someone with experience in this particular HRT will come along to help you. Hope you feel better soon.

So that's C-19 out of the way.

Do you keep a mood/food/symptom diary which might help keep track.  Also, have you had a thyroid function test recently?

Progynova is estradiol valerate, a prodrug of estradiol. Our body has to convert  it to estradiol first and some people can have more difficulty with this conversion. It"s also a bit less potent then estradiol hemihydrate (Elleste solo). Estradiol valerate 1 mg is equivalent of 1,2 mg estradiol hemihydrate.

Hi Alicess, it's the other way round. Estradiol valerate 1 mg is equal to estradiol 0.76 mg or estradiol hemihydrate 0.79 mg.

So, estradiol valerate 1.2 mg is roughly equivalent to estradiol hemihydrate 1.0 mg (actually 0.94 mg).

It happens to me all the time, menopause brain. You sound very knowledgeable regarding HRT.

Thank goodness you don't have Covid. I'm assuming you have had hysterectomy because you're not on any progestogen, have you had oophorectomy (ovaries removal surgery) as well?
