I get what I class as an adrenaline surge sometimes mid cycle. It feels like I'm shaky inside, I get warm and cold, my stomach gets jittery and I can't settle to anyrhing, my heart feels like it's racing. It stays like this for ages and my body feels shaky and buzzy.

I would say I experienced two surges - the power surges so as more commonly known a hot flush but also my libido surged in peri menopause. I was really horny hubby couldnt keep up.

Adrenalin surges for me were sudden , felt like hot water coursing through my veins.  OK once I realised what it was.

Some hot flushes arrive in a surge: OK, then a feeling of warmth spreading over the body leaving redness on face and neck.
