Title: Utrogestan and Oestrogel, Not Experiencing Bleeds
Post by: Toothfairy on December 16, 2020, 07:34:10 AM
Hi

I am taking Oestrogel and Utrogestan, sequentially. But I am not experiencing bleeds, I intend to consult a Dr, but it will take time to get an appointment.
I am a bit concerned, I have been on HRT for about 3 months, any thoughts appreciated.

Thank you.

I've posted about this before but not had a reply. I'd be interested to know what the doctor says. I'm late peri now and on a long cycle and I don't bleed approx half the time when my own hormones don't contribute.

Hi ladies, how many pumps of Oestrogel and what's the dose of Utrogestan you're on?

Two pumps of gel and two tablets of utrogestan day 15-26.
I wont be able to see a Dr for some time but will report back what they say.

I actually have the same issue! I was previously on continuous Utrogestan and gel for 18 months, but was still getting the odd period. Had pmt symptoms before a bleed, so the specialist I spoke to thought it was my own hormones kicking in (previously had no period for 2 years due to early menopause).

So the idea was to try a sequential routine as I was getting bleeds anyway. But now when I want/need to bleed...nothing! I can’t win  >:(

I’m on 2 pumps of gel and 200mg Utrogestan orally for 12 days and this is my second month on this routine. Could it be that my lining is not yet thick enough? Am also worried it might be building up as I haven’t had a period yet, don’t know if I would experience spotting/bleeding if it had got to the stage where it was too thick. This is all so confusing!
Xx

Hi ladies, thank you sheila99. Toothfairy, are you taking Utrogestan orally or vaginally? Butterfly16, any reason why you prefer to take it orally? What does your doctor have to say about the odd bleeding pattern?
