I was prescribed Hylo-Tear drops by my GP after the first drops he prescribed didn't help.  They are preservative free and can last up to six months.

I've been using the Red hyco San drops. They are preservative free and last 6 moths. They have helped my none poorly eye feel lots less gritty and irritated.
Ive also bought a eye mask that you heat in the microwave and apply that onto my eyes for about 10 15 mins. It really helps my eyes to feel better. I wash my eyes with warm water and massage my eye lids too.

My eyes itch a lot sometimes I wake up rubbing them.  I use 'optrex' at night which helps.

I use Optrex Eye spray for dry and irriatated eyes.

Can't get on with drops and my optician said the spray is just as effective.

Thealoz Duo, fantastic. Optician recommended them. Quite expensive but some good deals online and they last quite a while.

I have had meibomian gland issues in the past to the extent where I actually had a lump on my eyelid. Optician recommended regular use of hot pads applied to the eyes followed by massage of the eyelids to keep things working properly. Preservative free eye drops were suggested as well.

I think a flannel soaked in as hot water as you can bear can also be used, instead of a mask which goes in the microwave. I have tried that but it did seem to get cold very quickly.

My eye mask is mains operated, so doesn’t go cold and has 2 settings.  I’m on the ‘watch and wait’ list for tear duct plugging as my dry eye has scratched my corneas.  I’m doing all I can to avoid anything invasive being done x

A mains operated eye mask sounds really useful. Definitely one for the Christmas present list.
