Can I ask if people still exercise even though they suffer from palpitations? I have a treadmill and 2 weeks ago I had only been walking on it for 7 mins when I shocked my heart rate and it was up to 200bpm! That’s when I first realised there was an issue. I would love to get back at it as I have gained so much weight..

We have several threads about exercise, the main one being to exercise within your comfort zone. Who have you spoken to about your palpitations, you may said already? Many things can make us aware of palpitations - do you eat 4fore/after exercise for example?
Weight bearing exercise is important to stave off osteoporosis.
We talk about cycling, dog walking, swimming ::)

Hi avimac ,yes, I still go running and have palpitations,I've had ecg's and all ok, I find exercise really helps with the meno symptoms,if at all worried ask if you can have an ecg just to make certain

I used to enjoy running but my joints have become painful especially my knees. I've invested in an indoor bike recently as noticed weight gain will try this instead until.summer returns as its less impact and I can watch a box set at the same time. Get a really good sweat on too !
Plus it's blimmin freeeeezing outside !

Oh yes,it's freezing, I went for a run yesterday and didn't even break sweat. A cross trainer is a great exerciser too,the orthopaedic surgeon I saw (foot injury) said it was the next best thing to running,low impact too and it works ALL your body. Haha good you've a box set,does tend to become tedious doesn't it?
