Thanks. I suppose it could be due to new formulation/new manufacturer since November 2020. Maybe you are allergic to one of the patch matrix components, particularly the adhesive acrylate-vinylacetate copolymer (Duro-Tak 387-2287) or contaminants in estradiol or norethisterone starting materials (usually trace amounts, but could sensitise the skin with time).

It was evorel I became allergic to too. It was over a year ago when I don't think the formulation changed.

Two different scenarios. You became allergic over a year ago probably because you have been sensitised by something in the patches.

Robotwars said she had been on them since Feb but only has developed skin reaction a couple of months ago (exactly when new patches became available). So it could have been just a coincidence (she would have become sensitised anyway) or there's something different in the new patches.

If you have an allergic reaction to it you shouldn't continue, it won't get better but it could well get worse. Mine was so sore I took it off anyway. I changed to gel but you could try a different brand of patch that uses a different carrier. Doc said it was a reaction to the carrier not the oestrogen. I have no reaction to oestrogel.

I agree, allergies don't go away, they usually get worse with time, from histamine and antibody reactions (immediate hypersensitivity) to cell immune reactions (delayed immune response) which is far more difficult to treat. Try a different patch or gel.
