Title: Brown bleeding
Post by: Hillbilly on November 25, 2020, 08:23:36 AM
Hi all. I came off HRT a few months ago and feel much better. But my last period should have ended about 5 days ago, instead I've got a brown sticky bleed that just won't stop. It's not a huge amount, a party liner is all I need but its obviously annoying. Has anyone any experience of this?

Hi Hillbilly. This is a typical symptom of perimenopause. Were you peri before you began HRT?

Yep.  During the years of my periods waxing and waning I had this often.  It's old blood leaving the body.

It if worries you by the weekend, mayB get an appt with your Practice Nurse next week for a chat?  it was normal for me, happened at the end of every period.  I would stop red blood.  Clear 24 hours. Then 2 days of brown.
