Title: Are sore boobs ever low estrogen?
Post by: Shannonplussed on November 19, 2020, 04:25:07 PM
Are slightly sore boobs (like just noticing them when walking down the stairs, not super sore like it hurts to hug someone) ever a sign of low estrogen? Or is sore boobs always high estrogen? I have some foot pain/body stiffness and sleeping too long (10.5 hrs last night!) that I would usually associate with low E2, but the boobs have me second guessing.

Hello Shannonplussed.

When I came off  HRT my previously sore boobs resolved two weeks after stopping Utrogestan,  I was still using the Oestrogel but not much and tapering off. I concluded from this that progesterone was the culprit in my case.

Take care.

Thanks. I’ve got a Mirena so taking into account all factors, it’s fair to say at this point things are unbalanced favouring progesterone. I’ll add a little more Estrogel tonight.
