Title: Light bleeding, jelly like discharge, nearly 2 yr since last period
Post by: Khm on November 02, 2020, 03:51:10 PM
I’ve read stuff on bleeding already. I’m 55 and nearly 2 yrs since my last period, no probs and no discharge until about 3-4 weeks ago. Clear discharge and last few days jelly like with some blood in it. Kinda feels like a period with no pain but can feel
It if I know why I mean.

Hi Khm. The advice is that any bleeding however light if it's more than a year after your last period must be checked out by your doctor. I know it's difficult at the moment but please get an appointment to rule out anything nasty. It's probably a hormonal blip. Let us know how you get on.

I agree with getting it checked given this is not a bleed due to oestrogen withdrawal as part of HRT, but in reassurance I had the discharge and my consultant said sometimes you get a last hurrah of an egg being released by ovary, sometimes several years after last period. Could also be something like an ovarian cyst though...
